Originally presented as a gift before the studio was established, the vintage 3107 chair model (circa 1950s) is a predecessor to the current production line, bearing the traditional 'FH Danmark' branding. After 70 years and nearing to the end of its life span, the intent is to translate one of Arne Jacobsen's greatest legacy into a furniture art piece.
Based upon the idea of The New and the Gold, 'Reflections in Time' explores the relationship between a furniture's functionality and its aesthetics form — Structurally split in perfect halves, the chair's form is visually re-assembled through the use of a reflective golden plane, signifying the traverse into a distinguished world that is not bounded by time.
Embodying the qualities of Danish minimalism, RAS-3107 explores the longevity and functionality of today's contemporary furniture, breathing new beginnings into their completed life cycles for the future.
