Home to a young family of 3, the architectural qualities of this apartment provided the perfect opportunity to amplify its spatial qualities internally. Surrounded by lush greenery at the top of a serene hill, the unit's open-plan is conceptualised like an en-suite lounge that is conducive for intimate conversations.
Anchored at the heart of the space is the wooden portal that is now an identifying feature of the studio, the movable pivot screens allowed the flexibility to isolate the inner room, granting privacy for respective users. The high ceilings are further accentuated within the same portal, through the insertion of greenery underneath a skylight.
Walls are preserved to exhibit a series of art pieces collected by the clients over their years of travelling. The resultant design achieves an understated mood that blends seamlessly, creating a distinctly subtle residence without the interruption from outside worlds.
