Home to an avid tea connoisseur and collector, Tea Room is a special project where the public area of the residence is designed to showcase the client's collection of tea-ware.
Exquisitely curated over her years of travel across East-Asia, the idea is to conceptualise the living and dining zones as a private room of showcase for tea enthusiasts, forming the key characteristics of the space. This concept is achieved by constructing a continuous portal across, framing the entertainment and exhibition areas. Separated by a custom-built shoji screen, the kitchen and back of house is kept spacious and indulgent, paying close attention between a holistic experience and personal spaces.
The mood within Tea Room is relaxing, calm, and ordered—serving as an intimate sanctuary for any tea lovers to relax in, and a catalyst to meaningful conversations.
