In collaboration with Space Furniture, the Studio was invited by d+a magazine to conceptualise the ideal space—free from constraints and guided purely by imagination. The result is The Space Between, a distilled vision of spatial harmony that celebrates the profound connection between humans and nature.
At its core, the pavilion strips away boundaries, revealing the essence of architectural elements. The simple timber deck foundation is accentuated with skeletal frames which define the structure, and louvered trellises serve as walls and roofs, embracing natural light and airflow. Stone and water converge to evoke stability and vitality. Flowing streams meet rugged boulders, creating a serene dialogue between nature’s elements. This thoughtful integration encourages a return to simplicity, offering a sanctuary for inner peace and mental well-being.
The sculptural B&B Italia Mart lounger, with its cradle-like form, offers a cocoon of comfort. Its timeless design reinforces the pavilion’s balance of form and function, completing a narrative of understated elegance.
